A group of residents and staff represented The Lay Centre in the Roma Fun 5K race, 22 March, as part of the celebrations associated with this year’s Rome Marathon.

Though it rained throughout the morning, the group got to experience a new way to see the city, as the race wound from the Roman Forum past Piazza Venezia to Circo Massimo and up the Aventine, before finishing near the Bocca della Veritá.

The rest of the community was there to toast their adventure at the communal Sunday lunch afterward.

While it may look like we do a lot of eating at The Lay Centre (and we do, thanks to our awesome culinary staff!), it’s also a place committed to holistic well being, as many of the residents regularly run, work out, hike, engage in sports or belong to the local gym.
