July 2016: Rome Seminar, program information, and The Lay Centre turns 30!

 at Foyer Unitas and the College Theology Society invite you to submit proposals for papers for their Rome Seminar, Full, Conscious and Active: Lay Participation in the Church’s Dialogue with the World, which will run from 6-9 July 2016. The themes of the seminar include, but are not limited to:

  • Understanding the lay vocation and mission in the Church
  • Engagement of the laity in justice and peace issues
  • Lay involvement in ecumenical and interreligious dialogue
  • The role of the laity in exploring the relationship between faith, culture and Church

From 10-16 July 2016, The Lay Centre is organizing a weeklong program, God’s Mercy Endures Forever, which includes daily opportunities for prayer and fellowship, guided tours to each of the papal basilicas, and several summer cultural activities. These two events follow a three day reunion to commemorate The Lay Centre’s 30th anniversary! Information regarding this celebration has been sent to Lay Centre alumni, by email, so please make sure to RSVP as requested.
