The Lay Centre students hosted seven members of the general council of the Passionist Fathers for the community evening on 25 November.
The Passionists are invited to a community evening with The Lay Centre residents every year because, although The Lay Centre is housed in their motherhouse in Rome, the residents and the Passionists rarely have the chance to meet and speak with each other.
Fr Giuseppe Adobati presided Mass for the community in The Lay Centre chapel.
During the meal that followed, Fr Joachim Rego said The Lay Centre was always welcome in their house. He said the Passionists would reciprocate the hospitality in a few months time, celebrating a Mass for residents, followed by refreshments.
