On the occasion of the 2016 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the Centro Pro Unione and The Lay Centre at Foyer Unitas will host an afternoon of prayer and reflection on Thursday, 21 January at 4:30 p.m.
The Rt. Rev. Prof. N.T. Wright will speak on the theme “The Church and the People of God.”
The Rt. Rev. Wright is a professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at the University of St Andrews and is the retired bishop of Durham, United Kingdom.
The presentation will be followed by ecumenical prayer for unity, coordinated by Rev. Anthony Currer and The Lay Centre at Foyer Unitas community.
The event will be held at Centro Pro Unione, located at Via Santa Maria dell’Anima, 30 (Piazza Navona), in the heart of Rome.

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is held each year, from 18 January to 25 January. This year’s theme is “Called to Proclaim the Mighty Acts of the Lord” (1 Pt 2:9).
The World Council of Churches develops a theme each year for the international observance.
